Cristian Hernández-Cuevas. Chief Executive Officer.
Molecular Biotechnology Engineer from Universidad de Chile with a Master in Bioscience Enterprise from the University of Cambridge (2003). Throughout his career, Cristian has acquired invaluable experience in biotech businesses and technology transfer, both in Chile and in England. He has been a successful bio-entrepreneur, business consultant and Business Development Manager at Summit plc UK.  Until recently he was Director of Business Development at Chile's largest private biotechnology institute -Fundación Ciencia para la Vida.

Luis Burzio. Chief Scientific Officer and member of the Board of Directors.
Biochemist from Universidad de Concepción with Posdoctoral training at Rockefeller University. Luis is one of the top Molecular Biologists in Chile, he discovered Andes' core anti-cancer technology. Professor at Universidad Andrés Bello and previously chairman of the Instituto de Bioquímica and Research Vice-President of Universidad Austral. Dr. Burzio is inventor of more than 20 patents and patent applications. Among his numerous awards he was honoured with the “Biotechnology for Human Health” Prize, given by Institut Pasteur in 2004.

Bernardita Méndez. Head of Regulatory Affairs and Intellectual Property.
Biologist of the Universidad de Chile with a Ph.D. degree in Cell Biology from Universidad Católica de Chile and a postdoctorate at the Department of Biochemistry, University of California, Berkeley. Her experienced background also includes more than a decade as Vicepresident of Regulatory and Quality Affairs, corporate officer and a member of the Executive Committee at Chiron Corporation. During this period, she secured FDA /EMEA and other world-wide regulatory approvals for numerous innovative biotech-derived therapeutics, diagnostics and vaccines for humans. In addition, she was responsible for establishing the company’s intellectual property department and for the presentation and prosecution of patent applications for biotech products and procedures, in the US and across the globe. 

Patricio Cáceres. Chief Financial Officer.
Senior Accountant & Financial Controller with an MBA degree from the Universidad UCINF.  Previously he was Chief Financial Officer of GrupoBios, Chile's largest biotechnology company. Mr. Cáceres is a certified financial controller, with training and qualifications in the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
